Information Gathering and Dissemination

Our information gathering and dissemination practices for MediCompass consist of a system to create and/or access individual health records in order for individuals and their healthcare professionals to collaborate to better monitor the individual’s health. You must obtain a unique login name and a password before you can use the site.

The MediCompass registration process requires that individuals provide us with some specific personal information such as name, address, date of birth, and email address. As a program beneficiary opt-in to MediCompass is obtained upon first login after enrollment in your program.

Likewise, MediCompass Pro registration requires that healthcare professionals provide us with some specific personal and business information such as name, credentials, business affiliation, demographics, email, and phone number.

We do not share your personal information with our partners or third parties without your approval.

Any data entered at the site is never deleted by iMetrikus. Data that has been manually- entered, uploaded, deleted, or modified is subject to our audit trail process.

Passive Tracking Mechanisms

Spyware—Spyware is defined as “software that aids in gathering information about a person or organization without their knowledge, and which may send such information to another entity without the consumer’s consent, or asserts control over a computer without the consumer’s knowledge.”

MediCompass software does not contain spyware, adware, or covert software of any kind. iMetrikus does not install any tracking software on your system, or collect information about your browsing habits. The software does not "spy" on other programs you run or web sites you visit. MediCompass does not come bundled with any third party software.

Cookies— A cookie is defined as “a file that identifies a unique user upon login and stores personal preferences and user data throughout their visit to the Web site.”

iMetrikus applications use cookies to maintain your user I.D. and profile during a session. The cookie expires when you end your MediCompass session. You may set your browser to reject cookies, however doing so prevent some parts of the application from functioning optimally.

Privacy Key - Sharing Access to your Health Record with your Health Professionals

The privacy key icon indicates whether or not the healthcare professional has online access to your health record based on your expressed desire to allow that access.

The indicators are as follows:
[no icon] - The healthcare professional does not have access to your record.
- The healthcare professional and the other professionals who are part of that registry have access to your record.
- The healthcare professional once had access to your record, but access was revoked. However, the healthcare professional and the other professionals who are part of that registry still have access to the data that was entered prior to the date the privacy key was revoked.

You may REVOKE a healthcare professional's access to your health record at any time. To GRANT a healthcare professional access to your health record, he/she must be a member of the sponsored program under which you registered to use MediCompass.

Security

MediCompass has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our Web sites have the added benefit of "secure site verification" for Internet customers issued by Thawte (The Certificate Issuing Authority). This ensures that all iMetrikus Web sites displaying the Thawte seal are authenticated and use encryption to protect user information from interception and hacking.

Password information is stored in a secured database that is field-level encrypted. Access to our database is protected by physical plant security, including 24-hour guards. Video surveillance cameras, motion, temperature, and vibration detectors are also part of our security. Our database IP is accessible only through our application and is not visible over the Internet. Our server suite is continuously monitored for network intrusion.

Employee Training and Certification

Our policy is to ensure that our workforce is trustworthy by certifying each employee through SOP training programs. Employees with access to server databases will undergo advanced training in security procedures.

Member Communications
