Carlsbad, CA, December 17, 2001 -- iMetrikus, Inc., announced
today the launch of InSight™ by Disetronic, a secure, online personal
diabetes health record for patients using the D-TRON® insulin pump.
InSight Professional is available to physicians prescribing D-TRON pump
therapy for their patients. Disetronic chose iMetrikus to provide their
comprehensive ASP solution that includes secure hosting, advanced data
upload capabilities, and comprehensive features for both patients and
physicians. By giving Disetronic customers these tools and resources,
iMetrikus enables Disetronic to extend the value of their core products
in order to acquire and retain customers.
Leveraging iMetrikus' MediCompass platform, InSight by Disetronic features
an interactive environment where patients can upload the actual data stored
in their D-TRON insulin pump and blood glucose meters. The information
is then presented in a useful variety of reports and graphs that can be
viewed by physicians in their office, as well as by patients in their
homes. This system provides physicians and patients a complete and accurate
picture of patient's diabetes monitoring practices and a more informed
view into overall health.
