Acquisition of Leading Diabetes Solution Provider to Speed Deployment of Glucose Meter Data Capture in Interactive eCare Solution

Carlsbad, CA, October 16, 2000 -- iMetrikus today announced it has completed the acquisition of MetaMedix, a San Diego-based provider of software solutions for diabetes patients and providers. Founded in 1994, MetaMedix has developed the most comprehensive set of integrated device drivers for blood glucose meters and insulin pumps from major device manufacturers. MetaMedix also has more than 10,000 users for its Mellitus Manager and Zone Manager products, an award winning product family specializing in the daily monitoring of diabetes treatment and easy-to-follow diet programs.
