iMetrikus And Polymer Technology Systems Announce
Joint Marketing Agreement
iMetrikus adds further diabetes monitoring and cholesterol screening
to the MediCompass comprehensive chronic care monitoring program
Carlsbad, CA, June 25, 2002 -- iMetrikus, Inc., and Polymer
Technology Systems (PTS) announced today that they have entered a joint
marketing agreement which calls for the integration of cardiac profiling
and diabetes monitoring data collected from PTS' CardioChek device
into MediCompass®-iMetrikus' platform for low-cost, chronic care monitoring
across multiple disease states. The agreement also calls for iMetrikus
and HealthCarta (see separate release) to
market this comprehensive solution into selected pharmaceutical companies.
The result of this agreement will be the creation of evidence-based marketing
programs. These programs deliver value through the promotion of compliance
and persistence behaviors, in addition to the objective documentation
of therapeutic outcomes. The programs will combine the cardiac profiling
and glucose monitoring benefits of CardioChek with the remote health monitoring
and data management capabilities of MediCompass. Programs are constructed
using the following core elements:
- POCT - triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, blood ketones,
glucose
- Remote Monitoring - device connectivity
- Care Management - self-monitoring tools, patient registry, population
level reporting
- Compliance Management - targeted messaging
- Outcome Measurement - population analysis and reporting
"We are happy to be working with PTS to support our ongoing efforts
to incorporate new and inventive technologies that capture critical health
data at the point of care," commented Rose Higgins, iMetrikus Senior
VP of Commercial Operations. "The MediCompass platform allows both
physicians and patients to connect and review information across a common
platform and leading disease states."
"We are very excited about the new alliance with iMetrikus and the
resultant comprehensive approach to point-of-care testing," stated
Jim Bogner, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at PTS. "The
CardioCheck with PTS Panels brand test strip system are designed to provide
a more thorough, efficient and cost effective testing process for the
healthcare professional, and ultimately the patient/consumer. Pairing
our system with the MediCompass platform completes the picture and greatly
enhances these benefits."
