iMetrikus, Inc. Board of Directors

 

William J. Rutter, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board
Dr. William Rutter founded iMetrikus and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition, he provides strategic scientific/business advice as the founder, Chairman, and CEO of Synergenics, LLC, a consortium of concept stage biotech startups. Most recently he held the position of Executive Chairman of Chiron Corporation, a leading biotechnology company that he co-founded.

He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Institution of Washington, is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and is a member of the National Academy of Science. Dr. Rutter has served on the Board of Directors of Novartis AG, the Board of Overseers of Harvard University, and as Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of California San Francisco .

Some of Dr. Rutter's business awards and honors include: a special recognition award from the Biotechnology Hall of Fame for his lifelong contributions (1998), the Heinz Award for Technology and the Economy (1995), the Jacob Heskel Gabbay Award in Biotechnology & Medicine (1999), the Bower Award for Business Leadership from the Franklin Institute (2000), The Chemical Heritage Foundation Biotechnology Heritage Award (2003) and he is an Inductee of the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame (2004).

Linda Neuhauser, DrPH
Dr. Linda Neuhauser is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Community Health and Human Development at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Public Health. Her work focuses on the science and techniques to translate research findings to successful action for large-scale societal benefits. She has a particular emphasis on Internet and other mass communication strategies to improve people's health. She is Co-Principal Investigator of Health Research for Action, a center at the School of Public Health that develops multi-media, multi-lingual health communication for households in the U.S. and overseas. Dr. Neuhauser was a member of the US Food and Drug Administration's Risk Communication Advisory Committee and has served on many federal advisory groups related to communication for the public. She was formerly a Health Officer in the US Department of State in West and Central Africa.

William J. Spencer
William J. Spencer was named Chairman Emeritus of the International SEMATECH Board in November 2000 after serving as Chairman of the SEMATECH and International SEMATECH Boards since July 1996. Before joining SEMATECH in October 1990, he was Group Vice President and Senior Technical Officer at Xerox Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut from 1986 to 1990.

Prior to joining the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) as manager of the Integrated Circuit Laboratory in 1981 and as the Center Manager or PARC in 1982 to 1986, Spencer served as Director of Systems Development from 1978 to 1981 at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, and Director of Microelectronics at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque from 1973 to 1978, where he developed a silicon processing facility for Department of Energy needs.

Spencer received the Regents Meritorious Service Medal from the University of New Mexico in 1981; the C. B. Sawyer Award for contribution to "The Theory and Development of Piezoelectric Devices" in 1972; and a Citation for Achievement from William Jewell College in 1969, where he also received an Doctor of Science degree in 1990.

Wayne Wager
Mr. Wager has 20 years experience in venture capital with Encompass Ventures, Cable & Howse Ventures and Hambrecht & Quist. His primary focus has been in the medical information technologies sector including medical devices and diagnostic companies. In addition to iMetrikus, Mr. Wager serves on the boards of Confirma, Point of CareWare and Omeros Medical Systems. His experience also includes product manager and marketing roles in cardiovascular and ultrasound products for Hewlett Packard's Medical Products Group. Mr. Wager received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Stanford University.
